You are invited to an afternoon of discovery as we trace the wonderful history of the Upper Beach.
Hosted by Mark Battenberg, the talk will follow the decline of the great glaciers, the First Nations People, The Kingston Rd during the war of 1812, and on to the villages of Norway and Benlamond, which were the cornerstones of the upper Beach as it grew along The Kings Highway in the mid 1800's. We will also look at Coleman's Corners, Little York village, the founding of East Toronto Village, And the rise and fall of the mighty Grand Trunk Railroad.
